the journey
My journey in life is essentially an ethnographic adventure and frequently an unusual one. It has taken me through multiple and transforming experiences in personal, professional, and cultural terms. It was first triggered by a mixture of unrest, boldness, and curiosity – by an inner call stronger than my roots – and later boosted by an insatiable hunger for more.

the adventuerer
In the tradition of Ibn Battuta, the Maghrebi scholar; Marco Polo, the Venetian merchant; and Malinowski, the Polish ethnographer, I see myself as a daring nomad—an explorer of both the world and the mind. My quests are driven by encounters with people, immersion in cultural difference, and the pursuit of knowledge. My adventures are an instrument of personal growth, emerging from the confrontation of my own beliefs and values through sustained engagement with the other, the new, and the unknown, in an ongoing practice of ethnographic observation.
ethnomotion
The result of all this is a collection of thoughts, impressions, and memories expressed through photography, accessible via the “galleries” link, and through storytelling across texts of different genres, presented in the “writings” link. Bringing these elements together has been an attempt to intertwine my yesterday, my today, and my tomorrow. Ethnomotion is, at once, a desire, an effort, a manifestation and outcome of my passions, and a source of inspiration for them.
